The best way to learn about Maur Hill - Mount Academy is to come and tour our campus, where you’ll meet our administration and see our students and faculty in action.

Shadow Day—Day Students

We welcome prospective day students to spend a day with us shadowing one of your peers. We will match you with one of our current day students; eighth-graders will match to a ninth-grader, and transfer students will shadow someone in the same grade. 

Typical Itinerary (Monday, Tuesday, or Friday):
8:00 a.m.: Welcome (Admission Office)

  • Attend one to three classes with a current student 
  • Campus tour
  • Lunch in the dining hall 

12:30 p.m.: Conclude at the front office

We prefer to schedule shadow days during the fall term; however, we can accommodate students during the spring term if necessary. 

Visit Day—Boarding Students

We encourage prospective boarding students and their parents to spend an entire day with us on our beautiful campus. 

Typical Itinerary
8:15 a.m.: Welcome (Admission Office)

  • Attend one or two classes with a current boarding student (we welcome parents to join)
  • Campus tour
  • Meet the residence director
  • Lunch in the dining hall with faculty
  • Meet our president and principal
  • Learn about our curriculum from our academic counselor

2:00 p.m.: Concludes with the admission director

Prospective day students may visit on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Fridays. Shadow days start at 8:00 a.m. and end by 12:30 p.m. with lunch.

Prospective boarding students and parents may visit Monday through Friday. A campus visit starts at 8:00 a.m. and usually ends by 2:00 p.m.
